First we’re going to submit you to a bit of a grilling. Don’t worry, this shouldn’t be too gruelling, but we’ll want to establish genuine mutual understanding up front, see just how you envision moving the project forward, and assess your level of commitment to a successful conclusion.

Next it’s the crucial questions of the design and intellectual property rights. As a rule, we hold the patent of any product we design. However, and this is the crux of any partnership deal, we never charge our brand partners any licensing fee or royalties of any kind. We undertake to safeguard the intellectual property in return for exclusive manufacture.

Getting down to the nitty-gritty—who pays what, when and how. Up first are the all-important tooling costs. As partnerships mature we are open to offering credit or amortising costs over the production schedule, but with new clients we invariably demand payment up front, or at least via deposit and settlement of completion. One point we would like to make most strongly is this—once we agree a price, we do our stringent best to stick with it.

We are very confident that we have an unique and valuable offering here, but at the same time we will need to assess how appropriate your product is to this market.
